Royal Panoply

What's a panoply you say?
If I was to make an educated guess, I'd say collection or grouping of something that makes up a group.
According to Dictionary.com, it's a wide ranging, impressive display.

Royal Panoply- Amazon

I chose this book cause A- I like history and B- I didn't know much about the British royal family. After reading this book do I know a bit more about the monarchy? Yes- Do I know enough? No.
This book gives you tidbits into each monarchs reign. Some of it is very interesting, some monarchs are just too boring for words and maybe that's why Erickson didn't give them much space in her book.
Luckily she did give each monarch equal space and didn't focus on the Tudors or Stuarts. I could see how a book could easily become focused on the infamous Henry the VIII.
Highly recommended for the novice monarchy historian.
